‘I’m embarrassed’: Shannon Sharpe after growling audio-sex tape on IG

Former NFL superstar and podcast host Shannon Sharpe’s growling audio sex tape trended on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, September 11, after he accidentally went live on Instagram (IG) during the act.
At first, Sharpe’s team denied that he was the one being heard on the IG Live.
“Beware my @shannonsharpe84 Instagram was hacked this morning, my team and I are working vigorously to figure this out,” his team said in post on X.
Sharpe has since deleted the post on X and instead of avoiding the topic, Sharpe addressed the incident head-on during his Club Shay Shay Nightcap show with fellow NFL comrade Ochocinco.
“My heart sank,” Sharpe said. “I called my agent, I called the agency, I called ESPN and I [thought] just tell them the truth. My phone wasn’t hacked, it wasn’t a prank, it was me being a healthy, active male.
“I’m embarrassed. [I’m] someone that is extremely, extremely private and to have one of your most intimate details be audio heard for the entire world to hear, I’m embarrassed,” he continued.
Sharpe noted that he tries to remain professional at all times and this is an unfortunate mar in his public image.
“I’m disappointed in myself—not for the act, but for the audio to be heard— my kids— I called them, I called my sister,” he said. “This was not staged…I came in threw my phone on the bed and engaged in an activity.”
‘Shannon Sharpe’ and ‘Shay Shay’ are currently tending on X with fans either laughing at Sharpes ‘Growling’ noises or cheering him on.
