Jamaica makes yet another big luxury tourism move with the announcement of a new direct flight route from Heathrow Airport in London to the island’s tourism capital, Montego Bay. 

This strategic move, spearheaded by the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) and supported by portfolio minister Edmund Bartlett, is set to boost international tourism, particularly among British and Indian travellers. The move also continues to cement its position as a premier global tourism destination,

Launching in summer 2025, this non-stop flight from Heathrow to Montego Bay will significantly enhance the destination’s accessibility for leisure and business travellers. This development caters to the increasing demand for convenient travel options, cutting travel time and providing hassle-free connectivity to the Caribbean island.

The introduction of the Heathrow-Montego Bay direct flight underscores Jamaica’s commitment to strengthening its global tourism network. By tapping into major markets like the UK and India, the island is poised to increase its international tourist arrivals and elevate its global standing as a must-visit destination.
