The Jamaica Millennium Motoring Club (JMMC) congratulates Jamaican-American racing driver Alex Powell on his official signing with GriffinCore Campos Racing for the 2026 Eurocup-3 Championship, marking another major milestone in his rapidly rising single-seater career.

Powell will contest the season in the Dallara 326-Toyota, representing the Alzira-based Spanish outfit as the team’s third confirmed driver alongside Thomas Strauven and Patrick Heuzenroeder. The eight-round Eurocup-3 season opens on May 1–3 at Circuit Paul Ricard in France.

Born in Miami, Florida, and holding dual American and Jamaican citizenship, Powell has built an outstanding international résumé from a remarkably young age. The son of a former rally driver, he began competing at just eight years old before relocating to Europe to pursue elite karting. There, he established himself among the world’s best, winning the WSK Final Cup, South Garda Winter Cup, Trofeo Margutti, and Champions of the Future, while finishing second in the 2022 CIK-FIA European Championship and third in 2023.

Powell transitioned to single-seaters in 2023 and quickly made his mark. In the 2024 Italian Formula 4 Championship, he claimed the Rookie Championship with ten victories, finishing fifth overall. He followed that success in 2025 by earning runner-up honours in the Formula 4 Middle East Championship with five wins and eight podiums, while adding three Euro 4 podium finishes in just nine starts.

Powell expressed enthusiasm for the new chapter: “I’m very proud and excited to be joining GriffinCore Campos Racing for this new season. They are an amazing team, and they’ve given me a warm welcome from day one. I can’t wait to get started and achieve new things together.”

The Jamaica Millennium Motoring Club recognises this signing as another proud moment for Jamaican motorsport on the global stage. Powell continues to inspire a new generation of Caribbean competitors by demonstrating that discipline, dedication, and international ambition can open doors at the highest levels of the sport.

JMMC extends its best wishes to Alex Powell and GriffinCore Campos Racing for a successful and competitive Eurocup-3 season and looks forward to supporting his continued journey on the international motorsport ladder.
