The Government of Jamaica (GOJ) is seeking international advisors for its large-scale domestic broadband public-private partnership (P3) project.
To this end, the Government has enlisted the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, to prepare a large-scale broadband P3 project.
Under the plan, a new National Broadband Network will be delivered through a public-private partnership. The IFC has been brought on to help structure the project with the multilateral now looking for consultants to help with structuring and tendering.
Technical, environmental and legal consultants are being sought. Responses for its request for proposal (RFP) are due by April 15.
The IFC is now seeking to hire an Environmental and Social Consultant to assist in a multi-phased approach, consisting of due diligence and implementation of the project.
Due diligence tasks will include review of all available Environmental and Social (E&S) related information; E&S risk assessment; gap analysis; stakeholder mapping; climate change impacts; outline mitigation measures and structuring options.
