Headliner Evelyn King did not disappoint as she wowed audiences with her talent, singing a rendition of Sam Cooke’s 1964 hit ‘A Change Is Gonna Come’.
King then kicked into high gear as she upped the tempo, reeling off a string of dance songs such as her 1982 mega-hit ‘Love Come Down‘. The off-stage action included a vibrant crowd who were not shy to take to their feet as they danced up a storm.
A staple dancer among the crowd was Claire Reid, who despite losing one of her legs two decades prior, showed that she still could drop it on the dance floor.
Despite running into the early hours of Monday morning, patrons expressed satisfaction with the quality of entertainment, noting that all the performers were top notch.
