With Mother’s Day just around the corner, Our Today has decided to highlight popular mothers on social media who have used their platform to shared their tips and tricks of motherhood to new and even seasoned mothers.

Today, the focus will be on educator, entrepreneur and professional speaker Nicole McLaren Campbell.

Driven by a passion for empowerment, McLaren dedicates most of her time to helping both women and children excel in different areas of their life, teaching them how to be discipline and consistent.

As such, she started the Goal Accelerator Club, aimed at creating systems for a better life for women and the AIM Online Academy, an initiative geared towards helping high school students acquire scholarships for higher education.

McLaren, along with her husband Jamaican dancehall deejay and entrepreneur Jeffrey ‘Agent Sasco’ Campbell, own a 20-acre property, the Mulberry Valley Estate in Friendship Gap, St Mary. The Mulberry project is a pilot to explore the growth of mulberries as a commercial crop in Jamaica as mulberry is a super food.

As a mother, educator, entrepreneur, and professional speaker, McLaren like many other moms has a lot to juggle, but she has managed to find a system that works, giving her the best of both worlds. Instead of keeping her the secret to herself, she shares the knowledge with other mothers who often struggle to manage their personal and professional lives.

When providing parenting advice to mothers her approach is often to encourage parents to work on their own weaknesses and become the best version of themselves, so that they can in turn help their children to overcome obstacles and become their best self.

Her message is simple, if you are not in the correct mindset and lack discipline, these attributes can be indirectly taught to your children. To avoid this, she encourages mothers to practice self-love and personal development.

McLaren is also known for sharing the raw truths about motherhood and parenthood. Though her methods have been proven useful, she never shy away from showing that sometimes, no matter what measures you put in place, life will throw you challenges that will cause you to crack under the pressure.

Instead of bashing parents for their shortcoming or inevitable mistakes that they will make, she teaches them how to persevere and learn from their mistakes.

As a mom of three, she often shares that she too falls short sometimes, but she gets back up again, fighting for not only herself, but her family, proving that mothers really are super heroes.

Wishing you a Happy Mother’s Day, Nicole!
