Jamaica is among seven Caribbean countries where shoppers are now eligible for free Amazon shipping.
The US online retail company recently launched AmazonGlobal Standard Shipping, offering free international delivery on purchases of eligible products, with a minimum spend of US$35 for Jamaican customers.
The American e-commerce giant says customers “can identify eligible items by the ‘FREE Shipping’ message on the product detail or search results pages. Cancelling items, combining orders, or changing your shipping address, speed, or preference might affect your order’s free shipping eligibility.”
The company further highlighted that customers can only ship to delivery addresses located in eligible international destinations. “You can ship to multiple delivery addresses, as long as you meet all FREE shipping requirements for each address.
“FREE shipping order minimums vary by country and are based on US dollars (USD). If you use the Amazon Currency Converter, the local currency amount reflects the value equivalent to USD at the time of purchase,” Amazon outlined while detailing additional qualification details.

Amazon also stated that “free international delivery is a limited-time offer, and as such, the entity reserves the right to change or discontinue this offer or free international delivery at any time for orders placed after such change is published on Amazon.com.”
The other Caribbean countries benefitting from the free AmazonGlobal Standard Shipping policy include Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, the Cayman Islands, the Dominican Republic, and Trinidad and Tobago.
