Jamaicans will always be on time for their embassy appointment/interviews, nobody wants to miss their space in the line especially those who a traveling from far distances.

Beach Trip – The excitement of boarding a bus full of family, friends and food and travelling to the beach will have Jamaicans up and about at the break of day. Firstly, they have to prepare the staple fried chicken and rice and peas; secondly, everyone wants a good seat for the journey so Jamaicans will get up and be early in order to secure that spot.

Job interview – When it comes on to securing a job, Jamaicans understand fully that first impressions last. With this in mind, Jamaicans will arrive for interviews even before the interviewer (s) to show off their punctuality.

A visit to government offices – Government offices (tax office, RGD, NIS, etc) in Jamaica seem to be synonymous with long lines. These lines are infamous for being long and having slow service. So, in order to avoid spending an entire day at these offices, Jamaicans will get up early so they can get a good enough space in the line and be in and out of these business places in a timely fashion.
