One of the top all-inclusive brands in Mexico is coming to the English-speaking Caribbean with UNICO’s first-ever resort in Jamaica, set to be open early next year.
The UNICO Hotel Collection, which had first announced its planned entry into Jamaica back in 2024, says the upcoming debut of UNICO Montego Bay, a new boutique luxury all-inclusive resort is far advanced, representing a major addition for the island, following the first announcement of the project back in 2024. The project will bring the brand’s signature adults-oriented, luxury all-inclusive concept to Jamaica’s tourism capital and second city of Montego Bay, marking UNICO Hotel Collection’s first resort in the island.
While reservations have not yet opened, the hotel chain says booking information and additional details will be announced through its official channels in the coming months. The hotel has begun teasing the project through official channels.
Will add another distinctive choice
If the current timeline holds, the resort will welcome its first guests in early 2027, adding a new luxury address to one of the Caribbean’s most enduring beach destinations. UNICO Montego Bay will add another distinctive choice when it opens, particularly for travelers seeking a more boutique interpretation of the all-inclusive experience.
For visitors planning future Jamaica vacations, it means another highly anticipated resort will soon be joining the island’s increasingly impressive collection of places to stay. UNICO Hotel Collection describes the property as combining boutique luxury with the convenience of an all-inclusive resort, an approach that has helped establish the UNICO brand as one of the more distinctive names in the upscale all-inclusive segment.
The resort is being developed under the UNICO Hotel Collection, part of AIC Hotel Group’s growing portfolio, which also includes luxury hospitality brands across Mexico and the Caribbean. Rather than focusing on sheer size, the UNICO concept has built its reputation around a more intimate luxury experience.
The flagship UNICO 20°87° Hotel Riviera Maya helped redefine expectations for all-inclusive resorts by emphasising local culture, elevated dining, destination-inspired design and personalized service alongside the traditional convenience of an all-inclusive vacation. The upcoming UNICO Montego Bay is expected to follow that same philosophy, bringing the brand’s contemporary aesthetic to one of Jamaica’s premier beach destinations.
While details are still slim, renderings show a collection of plunge-pool rooms, poolside cabanas and sleek beverage concepts, the UNICO Hotel Collection says the new property will deliver the signature UNICO experience in a setting overlooking Montego Bay’s famous white-sand beaches and clear Caribbean water. Additional details are expected as the opening approaches.
The arrival of another luxury all-inclusive brand reflects continued confidence in Montego Bay’s position as one of the Caribbean’s leading resort destinations and is Jamaica’s primary international gateway, welcoming nonstop flights from dozens of cities across North America. The resort town continues to attract significant investment in both new resorts and existing hotel renovations.
Over the last several years, the island has welcomed major new resorts and extensive renovations, with brands continuing to invest in destinations including Montego Bay, Negril, Ocho Rios and the island’s south coast. For luxury travelers, the result has been a steadily expanding collection of high-end options, ranging from boutique beachfront retreats to some of the Caribbean’s largest all-inclusive resorts.
