Partnership accelerates digital expansion with a super app for food, events, and on-demand services

Kintyre Holdings (JA) Limited has officially entered into a joint venture with Digitize Jamaica, creators of the fast-rising Island Run mobile app, marking a significant move in the expansion of digital services across Jamaica and the wider Caribbean.
Island Run — available at www.islandrunja.com — is a multi-service platform that combines on-demand food delivery, event ticketing, and on-demand services that include bookings for professionals such as make-up artists, freelancers, and other service providers.
Island Run is now live in Kingston, Montego Bay, and Ocho Rios, with recent expansion into the Dominican Republic. Launches in the British Virgin Islands and Belize are currently underway and are scheduled for a Q3 2025 launch. As of May 2025, Island Run has surpassed 17,100 registered users and is now one of the top-downloaded apps in its category in Jamaica.
“We built Island Run to make life easier, whether it’s getting your favourite meal delivered, booking a service, grabbing tickets to an event, or finding new ways to earn,” said Ronice Harrison, Founder and CTO of Digitize Jamaica.
“Partnering with Kintyre Holdings gives us the backing and experience to scale this vision across the Caribbean and turn Island Run into the go-to app for everyday convenience.”
Kintyre Holdings, led by Chairman & CEO Tyrone Wilson, will support Island Run through its internal strategy and operations team, while also leveraging its subsidiary Visual Vibe, one of Jamaica’s most prominent digital advertising networks, to promote and embed Island Run across key urban and commercial zones.
“We see Island Run as a powerful tech platform that represents the future of how people move, work, eat, and access services on demand,” said Wilson.
“At Kintyre Holdings, our focus is on scaling high-growth ventures, and this joint venture aligns perfectly with our vision of building a digital ecosystem that supports commerce, lifestyle, and entrepreneurship in the Caribbean.”
“Restructuring GetPaid as a core division allowed us to cut costs, streamline our strategy, and reposition for regional growth,” said Tyrone Wilson, President & CEO of Kintyre Holdings.
“GetPaid, which is our Financial Technology (FinTech) and e-commerce division, now serves as the foundation for scaling digital platforms at Kintyre. This partnership with Island Run is our first major move under the division, aligning perfectly with our vision to lead the future of digital lifestyle and commerce in the Caribbean.”
“A Growing Opportunity in the Gig and Food Delivery Economies Island Run is positioned at the intersection of two global megatrends:
The gig economy is projected to reach $455 billion USD by 2027, with more than 500 million gig workers worldwide, according to Statista. The need for platforms that connect independent workers to clients continues to grow, especially in emerging markets like the Caribbean.
“The online food delivery market is expected to surpass $505 billion USD globally by 2030, fueled by increasing demand for convenience, digital payments, and mobile ordering, according to Fortune Business Insights.
Island Run addresses both sectors while layering in additional features like ticket sales and service bookings—positioning it as a “super app” for everyday Caribbean.”
