Investment holding company, Kintyre Holdings (JA) continues its expansion and diversification, transitioning into the spirits business with its acquisition of Kulcha Rum, including the full commercial operations, trademarks, and product portfolio associated with the brand.

Kintyre Holdings is advising that it has completed the acquisition of Kulcha Rum, which is currently produced under contract at a facility located on Pechon Street, downtown Kingston, and is distributed nationally through Miracle Corporation with additional distributors to be appointed as part of the brand’s growth strategy. The acquisition was completed through the purchase of the business from Richard Lee, owner of Miracle Corporation and Peter Bovell, Jamaican entrepreneur.

Kulcha Rum will now operate under Kintyre Holdings’ newly established Spirits Division, supporting the company’s broader expansion into the Jamaican rum and spirits industry. Kulcha Rum’s product offerings include White Rum, Gold Rum, and a cannabis-inspired flavour variant developed using herbal flavour notes and fully compliant with Jamaican regulatory requirements.

Kintyre Holdings reports, “this acquisition comes amid a record-breaking nine-month financial performance for the period ended September 30, 2025, and forms part of the company’s ongoing merger and acquisition initiatives. Further updates will be provided as the parties plan a press conference around this acquisition, at which additional details will be discussed.”

Kintyre Holding has been an expansion and diversification driver over the past three years branching out from its initial foray in the creative and digital learning space branching off into the media, Advertising & Entertainment with its acquisition of Visual Vibe, which is a leader in digital out-of-home advertising with a large network of screens across Jamaica and expanding into the United States through a partnership with Dalvey Media. The division also handles event production, Real Estate through its subsidiary Parallel Real Estate Ventures and its division Parallel RENO.
