Kintyre Holdings (JA) Limited advises that it has acquired two real estate properties—one located in Discovery Bay, St Ann, Jamaica, and the other in the luxurious five islands, located at Trinidad and Tobago.
The combined value of these assets exceeds US$1 million, increasing Kintyre’s total real estate holdings across the group to over J$350 million.
These two new properties will form the initial asset base of the Kintyre Real Estate Investment Trust (“Kintyre REIT”), a newly formed entity within the Group.. The REIT will be established through a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) and will operate independently of Parallel Real Estate Ventures.
Its mandate will be to acquire, develop, and manage income-generating rental properties across Jamaica, the wider Caribbean and North America.
The Kintyre REIT is being structured to provide long-term, stable returns to investors through rental income and asset appreciation. Upon Board approval, the Kintyre REIT is expected to implement a dividend distribution policy whereby a minimum of 80% of profits will be paid to shareholders, consistent with international REIT standards.
Further announcements will be made as the structure is finalised and the REIT is formally launched.
Speaking with Our Today, Kintyre Holdings Chairman and CEO Tyrone Wilson said: “The Caribbean continues to offer premium real estate opportunities, especially in markets like Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago—including the beautiful ‘Five Islands’ enclave—along with The Bahamas, the Cayman Islands, and Barbados.
“I recently visited the Five Islands myself with our partners, and the property is exceptional. It reinforced why we launched the Kintyre Real Estate Investment Trust (Kintyre REIT), which is distinct from Parallel, our development arm. Parallel builds projects like The Chalet in Discovery Bay, while the REIT focuses on acquiring and managing income-generating assets across these high-value territories.
“One of our strongest opportunities is the Discovery Bay property, located directly across from Puerto Seco, with significant recurring income potential. We’re already in active discussions with brokers and arrangers across the region as we scale the REIT’s portfolio. Since our transition from iCreate, Kintyre has expanded its scope and attracted partners who fully believe in our long-term vision. These partnerships are transformative and are moving Kintyre into a new revenue class far quicker than many expected.”
