British teenager Hannah Klugman picked up her first WTA Tour win by beating fellow Brit Harriet Dart before pushing world number 27 Marie Bouzkova in a 7-5 6-2 second round defeat. Klugman started strongly, even creating chances to take the opening set, but Bouzkova’s experience told late on.

Now ranked world number 509, Klugman is set to jump nearly 100 places and has already secured a Wimbledon main draw wildcard. Despite the loss, she leaves Nottingham with high  confidence as she adjusts to the senior position.
