It’s a life-size World Cup trophy, but with a playful twist, it’s built from 2,842 Lego bricks.
Lego and FIFA revealed the creation on Wednesday, announcing that it will kick off the Danish brand’s first World Cup-themed line next year.
This brick-built version matches the real trophy’s height at 36.8 centimetres, but that’s where the similarities end. Instead of solid gold and green malachite, this one is pure plastic and far lighter than the hefty original that weighs over six kilograms.
Priced at $200, it hits shelves in March and even includes a hidden scene tucked inside the globe, opened with a little pull tab. The real trophy remains locked away at FIFA’s base in Zurich.
