Social media is buzzing after news broke yesterday (June 4) that actor Michael B. Jordan and model/socialite Lori Harvey have split after dating for a year and a half.
According to People magazine a source close to the couple confirmed the break up between the 35-year-old Jordan, and Harvey, 25, the stepdaughter of comedian and game show host Steve Harvey.
“Michael and Lori are both completely heartbroken,” People quoted the source as saying.
“They still love each other.”
“Michael matured a lot over the course of their relationship and was ready to commit for the long term. He let down his guard with her, opening up emotionally in a romantic relationship for the first time,” added the source.
“They had great times together and brought out the best in each other.”

While representatives for the former lovebirds could not be reached for comment by People, Harvey appears to have removed all images of Jordan from her Instagram page.
At the same time, persons commenting on Jordan’s still existing Instagram posts about Harvey were last night urging the actor to remove her images immediately.
According to People, the two attended the 2022 Vanity Fair Oscar Party in Beverly Hills on March 27, marking their red carpet debut, but Harvey appeared solo on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival in France on May 17, for a screening of Final Cut (Coupez!).
Rumors of a breakdown in the relationship began after her return from France.

The pair, who have been the talk of the town and ‘couple goals’ for many, celebrated their one-year anniversary last November.
Jordan, the Black Panther actor who was voted People‘s Sexiest Man Alive in 2020, told The Hollywood Reporter last December that he “finally found what love was” in his relationship with Harvey and that he felt comfortable sharing his personal relationship publicly.
“When I was younger, I don’t know if I could have handled the onslaught of opinions and being picked apart, and also being conscious of what the other person’s going to go through. It takes a special person to deal with that.”
