William Bell, the man who took the life of a five-year-old during a hit-and-run accident, turned himself in to the police and was charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
He is to appear before the court on December 4.
Bell, a resident of Bunkers Hill, Clarendon, appeared before the Lionel Town Parish Court on October 20. He was offered $1-million bail.
Reports are that on October 11, Demaris Davey, a five-year-old student who attended Bunkers Hill Primary School, was hit by a motor vehicle operated by the accused. Bell fled the scene. Davey was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
