Radcliffe Daley appointed acting president & CEO

Mariame McIntosh Robinson, outgoing president and CEO, First Global Bank Limited.

President & CEO of First Global Bank (FGB) in Jamaica, Mariame McIntosh Robinson is leaving the bank, effective July 18.

McIntosh-Robinson, who is the wife of Opposition Spokesman on Finance, Julian Robinson, recently tendered her resignation. She has taken up the job of managing director of a US-based global financial technology (fintech) firm.

However, McIntosh-Robinson said she would continue to reside in Jamaica.

She has been instrumental in growing FGB since her appointment as president & CEO in 2016 to lead its transformation and strategic pursuit of financial inclusion.

Prior to this, McIntosh-Robinson was a private equity investor for seven years, where she was a partner at Portland Private Equity, the largest private equity fund management company focused on the Caribbean region which successfully raised two US$200-million-plus funds.

She has a BSc in Electrical Engineering from MIT, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and an MPhil in Economics from Oxford University, where she attended as a Rhodes Scholar. In the meantime, Radcliffe Daley has been appointed as the acting president & CEO of FGB.

Daley, who is currently the chief operating officer of FGB, has more than 30 years’ experience in retail, corporate and investment banking. 

In his new role, Daley will be supported by FGB’s strong and experienced management team and board of directors.

GraceKennedy, which is the parent company of FGB, has advised that businessman and banker Peter Moses will continue in the role as chairman of FGB.
