The 27th staging of the two-day Mayberry Swim Classic dives off today at the National Aquatic Centre which is expected to be highlighted by outstanding displays throughout.
There will be several different categories with prizes for the top primary, preparatory, and high schools plus top tertiary institutions.
Mayberry Investments Limited is again on board for the umpteenth time and they are proud to be part of one of Jamaica’s premier youth swimming events.
Speaking at the press launch on March 18, Mayberry Investments Limited’s Marketing Manager Desiree Wheeler said the organisation is passionate about fostering excellence, discipline and opportunity whether in business or sports.
“The Mayberry Swim Classic embodies our deep commitment to youth development and ensuring that young athletes have the resources, mentorship and opportunities they need to reach their full potential,” said Wheeler.

She continued: “We recognize that sports, like finance, require strategic planning, dedication, and the right support system to succeed. We are excited about this year’s enhancements and look forward to another thrilling competition. The meet continues to serve as a launchpad for young athletes, providing a world-class platform to showcase their talent, compete at an elite level, and prepare for future international success.”
This year’s meet will introduce a new High-Performance segment on Friday, March 21, exclusively for high school swimmers, further strengthening the pathway for competitive development. The prep and primary school segment will remain a key part of the competition, providing young swimmers with the opportunity to refine their skills and gain valuable experience.
Supreme Ventures Limited’s Corporate Communication and PR Manager, Chloleen Daley-Muschett, pointed out that her organisation strongly supports Jamaican sports and emphasised the importance of investment in youth athletics. “Swimming is one of the many disciplines where Jamaican athletes have the potential to excel on the world stage. Through our continued investment in sports development, we are helping to create the next generation of champions,” said Chloleen Daley-Muschett.

With the unwavering support of corporate Jamaica, the Mayberry 2025 Swim Classic promises to be an exciting showcase of determination, talent and sportsmanship. The public is encouraged to attend and cheer on the future stars of Jamaican swimming.
A special feature of this year’s staging will be the inclusion of a championship-style format for the top performers throughout the two days of competition.
Wheeler explained that this will encourage athletes to compete at their best and provide a competitive atmosphere for swimmers aspiring to the next level of their swimming careers.
