Robert Fowler, the St Catherine-based mechanic charged for the murder of 20-year-old accounting clerk, Khanice Jackson was sentenced to life in prison.
He is to serve 22 years and 11 months before being eligible for parole.
Flower, had pleaded guilty on March 8 of this year for the 2021 murder.
Reports from police officials are that Jackson, who resided in Independence City, Portmore, St Catherine, was found dead in an open lot near the Portmore Fishing Village on March 26, 2021, two days after she had been reported missing.
Police believe that Fowler had lured the 20-year-old to his home, under the guise that he had left one of his tools.
While there, an argument reportedly developed with Jackson and he allegedly used a rope to strangle her.
Fowler was taken into custody and charged after he reportedly confessed.
