American journalist Jemele Hill is a competent and feminine-looking lady.
She is a very good journalist and did magnificent work at ESPN. Her writing on The Atlantic is very good, and every now and then she pops up on CNN.
More recently, she has focused on politics and has dived into the podcasting world.
Jemele Hill is credible and is good at what she does.
It comes as a surprise that fellow American journalist Megyn Kelly went live on air to berate Jemele on her looks, calling her ‘ugly’ and saying she shouldn’t be close up on the camera because she doesn’t have an attractive face.
Where does Megyn get off being so disrespectful and horrible?
So many American journalists play it today for clicks and views, and this is why journalism is in a deplorable state. Certainly, one can disagree with Jemele’s point of view or perspective and explain why, but to be so personal and vituperative shows the ugly side of Megyn’s character.
Megyn Kelly built her media platform from the ground up, and it is doing well. She shouldn’t be diminishing her work by being nasty about the looks of fellow female journalists. Now that’s not a good look.
Here is what Megyn Kelly had to say about Jemele. “You can’t be both ugly on the outside and the inside-you have to choose one. First of all, a coat of mascara would be your friend. I’m saying this to you woman to woman. You need a little work. You should have them back off the camera a little bit because you are not attractive enough to have that extreme close-up.”
This barb came after Jemele Hill spoke about why not everyone is sorry about the assassination of Charlie Kirk. There is indignation on the right that not everyone is showing remorse for Kirk, and that there is a great deal of indifference coming from those whose politics lean to the left.

Kirk’s murder has divided America.
Jemele Hill did not let Megyn Kelly get away with calling her ugly. She shot back, “Your advice to me is to get some mascara, my advice is to actually get a personality and a persona that doesn’t always make you look like a racist and a bigot and trash. What you are not going to do is call me ugly because this face card has never been declined.”
Megyn Kelly, you went way over the line, and you are making enemies.
