Miami’s vibrant dining scene has been further elevated in the 2024 Michelin Guide, with three new restaurants in Miami and Miami Beach earning their stars for the first time, joining a select group of 14 that have now been recognised for their exceptional cuisine.

The renowned Michelin inspectors have recognised EntreNos, Ogawa, and Shingo as one-star establishments, a testament to the cutting-edge and world-class dining experiences offered in the Miami area.

EntreNos in Miami earned its first Michelin star for the contemporary American cuisine of chefs Evan Burgess and Osmel Gonzalez. The dinner-only spot wows with a tightly edited à la carte menu showcasing seasonal Floridian ingredients, like the standout smoked dry-aged cobia dish.

In Coral Gables, chef Shingo Akikuni’s eponymous Shingo restaurant was awarded one star. The restaurant features a 14-seat omakase counter, and sources pristine fish almost entirely from Japan that is simply sliced and dressed.

Rounding out the one-star selections is Ogawa, which has been applauded for its exquisite omakase offerings, where Chef and co-owner Masayuki Komatsu presents an authentic slice of Japanese culinary tradition. His artful assembly of nigiri and cooked dishes showcase a commitment to authenticity that is both humbling and exceptional.

These three additions join the few previous Michelin-starred restaurants in the Miami area like L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon, Ariete, and Los Felix.

Miami’s commitment to sustainability in the culinary world has been acknowledged through Michelin’s  Green Star distinction awarded to Krüs Kitchen and Los Félix. Both establishments, rooted in Coconut Grove, are owned by Chef Sebastian Vargas, who ensures a synergy of gastronomy and eco-friendly practices. Krüs Kitchen is noted for its market-driven food and organic wines, while Los Félix dazzles with Mexican cuisine that pays homage to indigenous heritage through both its menu and vibrant ambience.

The Michelin Guide also named Tam Tam as Bib Gourmand for 2024, highlighting its Vietnamese cuisine that’s all about fun and flavour.

The Michelin Guide’s inclusion of these establishments highlights and reinforces Miami’s reputation as a hub for culinary excellence, offering an array of Michelin-recognized dining options that celebrate local flavours and global traditions, and solidifying the city’s position as a gastronomic destination of international acclaim.
