Grammy award winning American artiste Michael Bolton will visit Jamaica to perform at the Issa Trust Foundation’s ‘For the Children Charity Concert’.

The event will take place on the grounds of the Couples San Souci Resort in Ocho Rios, St Ann on May 27.

Proceeds from the charity event will go towards the construction of the Mary Issa Health Centre, which will provide free primary health care for children and adolescents and is to be built at Richmond Estate in Priory, St Ann.

Bolton is a household name in many Jamaican homes, having released classic and timeless loves songs in the 1980s and 1990s. He is known for his soulful voice and powerful ballads with songs such as When a Man Loves a Woman, Said I Loved You…But I Lied and How Am I Supposed to Live Without You.

In addition to his role as an artiste, the 69-year-old is also a philanthropist who has his own charity organisation, the Michael Bolton Charities. He is also involved in various charitable organisations and continues to tour globally.

In a post on its Instagram page, the Issa Foundation shared that Bolton will be accompanied by
Jamaican reggae artistes Ky-mani Marley and Tarrus Riley, promising a night of golden voices.

The Issa Trust Foundation was established in 2005 by Couples as a non-profit organisation with a mission to provide a system of prevention, health promotion, education, community health improvement, and other services to promote wellbeing and development for the people of Jamaica.

Tickets for the concert go on sale March 1 at www.issatrustfoundation.com.
