Sixty-year-old British resident Robert Dyer, who has been reported missing since Sunday, November 5, has been found dead.

Dyer reportedly got lost after he went on a nature walk in the Ballards Valley area of St Elizabeth.

The body of the British senior citizen was found Thursday morning, November 9, in the forested area.

Residents of Ballards Valley, along with members of the security forces, have been conducting search operations in the hills of Ballards Valley since Sunday to locate Dyer.

The man, who is originally from the community, was reportedly staying with relatives after arriving on the island earlier this month.

Preliminary suspicions by the authorities are that Dyer got lost in the woods and was unable to find his way back home before he succumbed to nature’s elements.
