Mojo Morgan, reggae artiste from the Morgan Family, says as a Rastaman and like Haile Selassie before him, “I believe disarmament is more vital today than ever before because of the immense destructive capacity that humanity possesses”.

Morgan opens his latest project, Jamaica Love EP, with the song ‘When The Father Calls’.

The track sends a message as urgent today as when Haile Selassie first delivered his famous United Nations General Assembly speech in 1963. It is the same speech that later inspired reggae legend Bob Marley’s anthem ‘WAR’.

The track and video weaves Selassie’s timeless call for disarmament and equality with Mojo Morgan’s voice creating a bridge between history and the present.

At a time when the world is once again divided by war, violence and political conflict, the song reaffirms the importance of laying down arms and lifting up humanity, by revisiting and continuing Selassie’s words through music.

Mojo reminds us that the call for peace, justice and unity is not just history, it’s a responsibility we all share today.
