F1 fans in Jamaica came out in their numbers to the final local Monster Energy viewing party of the season to watch Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen once again take home the number one spot and watch Sergio Pérez finish just shy of the podium.
Over 100 Jamaicans were cheering on the cars at the free-entry event on the final day of the Brazillian Grand Prix Formula One Championship race at Usain Bolt’s Tracks and Records in Kingston on Sunday, November 5.
Speaking with Our Today, Andy Heaven, brand manager of ready-to-drink beverages at Caribbean Producers Jamaica, the local distributor for Monster Energy, said: “I’m glad that people got to come out and enjoy the Monster Energy drink and the other specials we had to offer today. I’m seeing clear signs that support for F1 is growing in Jamaica and we love to see it.”
He added that attendees got the chance to obtain various Monster Energy and F1 merchandise with their purchases while at the event. Through their partnership, Usain Bolt’s Tracks and Records will be the home of future viewing party events for the next racing season.
Previously held at CRU Bar in Kingston, Heaven explained that the capacity for the Monster Energy viewing parties has grown beyond what the previous restaurant could accommodate and previous patrons expressed that their ideal, larger venue should be somewhere that remains accessible, while also preserving the quality experience.
While still amped with excitement, attendee Lauren Campbell said: “These watch parties never disappoint. CPJ always delivers with these watch parties; I’m glad I came out and I’ll definitely be at the next one.”
