Elite Diagnostic Limited has announced a number of changes to the composition of its board of directors and board sub-committees.

Effective December 31, William Mahfood, chairman of the corporate governance committee will resign from the board of directors. He will be replaced as corporate governance committee chair by Simone Bowie Jones.

The appointment will take effect January 1, 2024. In September this year, Elite another certain changes to its board of directors. Stephen Ricketts has been appointed to the board, serving as a member of its audit committee.

In fact, Ricketts assumed the chairmanship of the audit committee replacing Mahfood, who recently resigned. Cube Corporate Support Limited, a licensed corporate services provider, has been appointed as corporate secretary.

Other board changes

The other changes announced this week include the appointment of an executive sub-committee of the board of directors to concentrate efforts on operational issues including machine downtime. The members of the executive committee are chairman Steven Gooden, along with Warren Chung, Quentin Hugh Sam and Dr. Neil Fong.

Some of the company’s diagnostic equipment experienced extended downtime throughout the year, which resulted in higher repair and maintenance costs. While the downtime impacted the growth in revenues with extended working hours and increased marketing efforts, Elite Diagnostic was still able to exceed the prior year’s sales by 21 per cent.
