Red Stripe Brand Manager Nathan Nelms (left) and Intimate concert headliner, Beres Hammond share a moment backstage ahead of the latter receiving his Red Stripe Living Legend Award.

The Intimate concert delivered on its promise for a historic showcase headlined by two of Jamaica’s most impactful reggae legends, Buju Banton and Beres Hammond. Thousands flocked to the Grizzly’s Plantation Cove in Priory, St Ann to indulge in the once-in-a-lifetime experience on New Year’s Day.

The immersive reggae spectacle also saw up-and-coming act D’Yani hitting the stage with his exquisite vocal range that set the tone for the high calibre of performances expected. Beloved reggae quartet, LUST, had the crowd singing along with hits such as Run Free and Anything for You just before the ‘Queen of Reggae’, Marcia Griffiths, hit the stage.

Buju Banton and Beres Hammond delivered a heartfelt set.

Known for her strong, smooth-as-mousse love songs and captivating live performances, the audience was left in awe by her regality and soulful delivery of her hit songs. Sponsored by iconic beer brand, Red Stripe, the event will go down as one for the history books and as the perfect kick-starter for the year ahead.
