Mother’s Food Group (MFG) has officially entered the franchising space with the opening of its first franchise location, Mother’s Xpress Oxford Road.

Located within the Texaco gas station at the intersection of Oxford Road and Old Hope Road, the opening marks a significant milestone in the evolution of the Mother’s brand and signals a new chapter in the company’s long-term growth strategy.

Over the past two years, Mother’s Food Group has undertaken extensive brand and operational upgrades under new management, intentionally laying the groundwork for scalable expansion through franchising.

“This launch represents more than a new location; it reflects the work we have done to strengthen our systems, elevate our brand standards, and build a franchise model that is sustainable and attractive to partners, ” said Marsha-Gaye Nelson, senior general manager of retail operations.

Mother’s Express Oxford Road has been strategically developed to serve the high-traffic corporate corridor along Oxford Road and Old Hope Road, catering to professionals from nearby offices and surrounding commercial hubs.

The location offers a broad range of Mother’s favourites across breakfast, lunch, and post-work meals, operating daily from 7:00 am to 6:30 pm, providing convenient access to hot, satisfying meals throughout the day.

The franchise is owned and operated by Captain Cody Weir, who has expressed strong confidence in the Mother’s Xpress model. Since opening, the location has recorded positive customer engagement, with patrons welcoming the added convenience of enjoying their favourite Mother’s offerings in a modern, express-format environment.
