The legal case between NASCAR and Michael Jordan’s 23XI Racing has finally come to an end.
The attorney representing Jordan and Front Row Motorsports confirmed that both sides reached a settlement, bringing a 16-month dispute to a close.
While the exact terms remain under wraps, the agreement introduces evergreen charters, a type of franchise system that NASCAR first rolled out in 2016. The settlement follows eight days of testimony, during which both 23XI and Front Row accused NASCAR of monopolistic and anticompetitive behaviour after receiving what they called a take it or leave it offer.
The deal aims to create a fairer system, ensuring charters are now more widely available, potentially benefiting teams across the sport. After more than a year of legal wrangling, both sides can finally move forward without the courtroom drama hanging over them.
