For many Jamaican businesses, tax season brings a familiar challenge.
Statutory payments often arrive at the same time as payroll, supplier obligations and everyday operating costs, placing pressure on cash flow and forcing difficult financial decisions.
To help address this reality, National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited (NCB) will host the NCB Business Tax Seminar: Master Tax Season and Get Rewarded on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.Business owners across the island can attend the live webinar on NCB’s YouTube channel.
The seminar will bring together tax professionals, financial experts and payment specialists to share practical strategies that help businesses meet their tax obligations while maintaining financial stability. Discussions will explore compliance requirements, smarter ways to structure tax payments, and tools that allow businesses to preserve working capital during one of the most demanding financial periods of the year.
Danielle Cameron Duncan, Acting Senior Vice President – Payments and Enterprise Operations at NCB, said the initiative was designed around a challenge many businesses quietly face.
“Tax payments can place tremendous pressure on a business’s cash flow if there is no structure around how they are to be managed,” said Cameron Duncan. “This seminar will help SMEs to approach this challenge strategically to alleviate this problem.”
Cameron Duncan also noted that the discussion will focus on helping businesses approach tax season with greater financial discipline and planning.
“When credit and payment tools are used responsibly, they can give businesses the breathing room they need to meet statutory obligations while keeping their operations running smoothly. Our goal is to help entrepreneurs understand how to use these tools in a way that protects their cash flow and strengthens their financial management.”
The seminar will feature a panel discussion among representatives from Tax Administration Jamaica, Mastercard and NCB.
Entrepreneurs, freelancers and operators of small and medium-sized enterprises who wish to participate virtually can register to join the live webinar at www.tinyurl.com/NCBTaxesSeminar2026.
