A small group of protesters gathered at the entrance of the Supreme Court in downtown Kingston on Thursday (May 2) to decry violence against women and children.
The individuals, armed with placards, urged the People’s National Party (PNP) to not be ‘complicit’.
The protest coincided with today’s third bail hearing for ex-MP Jolyan Silvera, who was charged with the murder of his wife Melissa in January.
While voicing their disdain for Silvera, the women also demanded investigators move swiftly in delivering justice for Sarayah Paulwell, daughter of East Kingston and Port Royal MP Phillip Paulwell, and her mother Toshyna Patterson, who were kidnapped last September.
The remains of the mother-daughter pair were discovered in an abandoned area of Wareika Hill.
