Nolan wrapped up an exciting week with the Broadway Artists Alliance as part of their Summer Session One (BAA), Jr., in New York City, studying with Broadway artists and professionals.

Summer Session One/BAA, Jr. marked the beginning of the 2024 summer intensive season at BAA!

During his week in the Big Apple, Nolan studied Song Interpretation: Telling a Story Through Voice with Andi Hopkins and Musical Scene Study and Character Development with Paul Schaefer, to name a few! He and his classmates also had a surprise visit from Tony Award winner Nikki M.

James of Broadway’s Book of Mormon, Les Misérables, Once On This Island, All Shook Up, and who is currently starring in the 2024 Tony Winning Musical Suffs.

James emphasized the importance of kindness for success in this industry and shared her Suffs’ realization of sharing a stage with only women for the first time in her career: “not singing about dudes!” She said: “There’s so much more to know about the incredible women who shaped our nation. And the music of Suffs, written by women, for women… Hearing those tight harmonies that dive in and around each other… It’s so exciting. I thought, ‘I will do this forever.”

To top it all off, Nolan Jabari ended the week by performing in a final showcase for top industry professionals in New York City.
