Definitely making the NSFW list, the Thursday, August 17 teaser of Shenseea’s latest single ‘Be Good’ has been met with mixed reviews by Jamaicans on Twitter. (Photo: Twitter @SHENYENG)

Jamaican dancehall vixen Shenseea is keeping the music coming to fans, with the promo for her latest track, Be Good, set for release on Friday (August 20).

The single, or its commercial promise, is not what has Jamaicans on social media talking, as the suggestive teaser was met with mixed reactions.

The promo image shows the 24-year-old singjay sporting a rather phallic hairstyle, resembling what appears to be a penis and testicles.

Some Twitter users, reacting the image, were amused by the ‘obvious’ pun on the title track only Patois speakers would have decoded, while others were tickled by Shenseea’s use of props, which they argued ‘left nothing to the imagination’.

Some reactions:

A few were critical about the repeated practice of musicians who use sex marketing as a ploy to capture target audiences, and many more were largely unbothered; poking fun at the elaborate get-up.

The high-riding Shenseea, who signed with Canadian manager Wassim ‘Sal’ Slaiby earlier in July got reasonably good reception for her last effort Run Run

The no-expense-spared music video for Run Run remains among the top 25 trending videos on YouTube in Jamaica and has amassed over 4.5 million streams since its premiere on July 16.

What do you think? Are you looking forward to Be Good‘s release this Friday?
