Olympic champion Veronica Campbell Brown welcomes baby number two

Retired sprint champion Veronica Campbell Brown is welcoming the arrival of her second child with husband Omar Brown.

The 200m Olympic gold medallist shared the news in a reel video posted on her Instagram account today (September 27), with the song Everything by Mary J Blige.

In the video, Campbell shared pictures and videos documenting the arrival of her baby boy Zane Lucas Brown.

The 40-year-old and her husband Omar, welcomed their first child Avianna in 2019.

Though she just made the news public, Zane arrived on September 20, 2022, according to the Olympic champion’s post, weighing 6lbs and 70z.

Campbell first shared that she was expecting in May this year when she posted a picture cradling her bump.

The photo was captioned “Four decades! I am grateful to celebrate another milestone with hubby and Avianna, as we excitedly anticipate the arrival of baby number two. Today is the beginning of another year of abundant blessings.”

Since making the announcement, many Jamaicans have sent congratulatory remarks to the couple, who are over the moon with joy.
