Digital marketing agency, One Great Studio (1GS), has ventured into video production as it aims to broaden the company’s current suite of services, diversify its product offerings, and elevate the ways it serves its existing clients.
The new business line also forms part of the company’s strategic expansion in a bid to increase revenue streams. Moreover, the new segment will serve to improve efficiencies by reducing the company’s reliance on external contractors to provide video production services and instead integrate such capabilities in-house with full control of the outcomes.
Djuvane Browne, CEO of 1GS, describes the addition of the video production business line as a strategic and timely move to maximise revenue by enhancing service offerings for existing clients.
“The introduction of our video production services marks a pivotal moment for 1GS, enabling us to provide more comprehensive and impactful solutions,” he said.
To support this new venture, 1GS has hired experienced video production manager David Johnson, who has previously worked on 1GS proprietary projects as well as other large-scale and recurring productions for several clients. The company has acquired equipment to begin rolling out this new service immediately.
Video productions will comprise:
- Reel Deal: a product specifically created for social media, featuring organic-style, short videos made with a basic setup.
- Podcast Production: professional production services for creating engaging and high-quality podcasts.
- Brand Stories: compelling video narratives that showcase the essence and journey of a brand.
- Tutorial-Styled Videos: informative and engaging videos designed for employee onboarding and training purposes.
Known for its digital media services, 1GS began growing its search engine optimisation business segment after the acquisition of Florida, USA-based High Voltage SEO at the end of 2022. Browne has signalled that the company is targeting both growth through additional acquisitions as well as increasing revenues through the introduction of new services.
“We believe that video content should be an integral part of our clients’ marketing strategies, and we are dedicated to delivering this to help them achieve their business goals,” Browne remarked on the new service.
“In today’s market, video outperforms static content, especially on social media, and we expect this trend to continue. This new venture underscores our commitment to diversifying our revenue streams, listening to the market, and responding with solutions that meet the market needs,” he added.
While 1GS anticipates generating immediate revenue from this new business line, the material impact on overall revenues will be gradual as the company builds out the department. This move has set the digital marketing agency on a path for future growth.
Introducing in-house video production unit will offer significant benefits for both 1GS and its clients, as video has proven to be highly effective in connecting with audiences and is a crucial medium in the overall customer engagement network. This service will also complement the current services and packages offered by 1GS clients.
