In the wake of the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa, One Park Restaurant and Lounge has joined the national recovery efforts to support families in affected areas of Jamaica.
Known for its signature fine dining experience and vibrant entertainment offerings, One Park Restaurant and Lounge has become a symbol of culinary innovation and community connection since opening its doors just over a year ago.
Now, the restaurant is channelling its platform toward a greater cause. In response to the urgent needs of affected communities, the restaurant has introduced a limited-time relief menu. A special prix-fixe selection designed to directly benefit hurricane recovery efforts.
“Food is one of the many ways One Park has been able to connect with Jamaica over the last year, and we are using that reputation to connect with families in affected areas by providing direct relief,” shared Chef Judah Ellis, Culinary Director at One Park.
The initiative was first launched through Patricia and Jody Myrie with support from friends, who immediately mobilised support after the storm’s passage.
“We sprang into action immediately after the storm had passed. It was imperative to provide assistance to those facing the biggest challenges of their lives,” said Patricia Wright-Myrie. “Initially, we provided assistance through donating tarpaulins, medical supplies, and grocery packages. Now, through our partnership with the restaurant, we’ll be able to do even more by increasing the pace with which we are able to deliver immediate relief items.”
The One Park Restaurant and Lounge Relief Menu features seven items inspired by Jamaican favourites, including Curry Goat, Burgers, and Pastas, offered at a special price range of $1,800 to $3,000 JMD, excluding GCT. For every three meals sold, a food package will be donated to a family in need.
The effort underscores the restaurant’s ongoing commitment to serving Jamaica not only through cuisine and entertainment but also through meaningful community impact.
