Dancehall artiste Rygin King in his song ‘Recovery’ featuring Chronic Law serves as a looking-glass for the artiste’s journey to recovery after being shot and paralysed from the waist down.

Twelve (12) days after the music video’s release, the track currently sits at number 4 on Jamaica’s top 10 YouTube trending list this week.

King, who is now wheelchair bound was shot in 2020 during a gun attack in Struie district, Westmoreland.

The song starts of with the artiste reminding his listeners of his fighting spirit as King says, “Dawg give thanks for everything weh happen inna mi life. Yuh know from yuh believe anything can happen yuh see it bro, mi deh yah an mi determine fe fight yuh bl**dclaat. Yow, no matter weh mi see dem a tell me say mi just know say mi can overcome all obstacles yuh see weh mi a say (sic).”
