Dancehall legend Vybz Kartel’s Amout takes the number one spot on this week’s top ten trending list.
The song is part of his The Viking (Vybz Is King) reboot for its 10th anniversary.
Produced by TJ Records and Adidjahiem Records, the song has amassed over 1.5 million views on YouTube in its first week and is the Teacha’s way of explicating to the masses and those who doubted his position in dancehall that he is the king of the genre.
“You wah fi tek mi crown, yuh have a way?” he asked in the song bridge, laced with sarcasm and confidence in his position as King of Dancehall.
“He’s making it clear that he doesn’t see any competition!” one fan commented under the video. “Vybz Kartel soon reach inna him 50s and he’s still king of dancehall. Any other king a Burger King, who agree?”
