Renowned fitness trainer and body transformation specialist Patrice J. White is cautioning individuals to be always aware of their surrounding, after she was reportedly nearly abducted while doing her morning run earlier this week.
The personal trainer, who took to her social media page to share an emotional video with her fans on Thursday, September 27, revealed that she was training for her upcoming races when she had a near-abduction experience.
“What almost become my reality. I was almost abducted on one of my training runs this week. So, to answer the questions that I know I am going to be asked: No, I was not running at a crazy time in the morning. I was running at the normal time that the running community runs, especially the community that is training for their upcoming marathon. I was actually running on the main road, I was not running anywhere that was dark. I wasn’t running anywhere that was lonely, I was running on the main road, I wasn’t running alone but my reality is my reality,” she said.
While noting that she was running at a diffrent pace compared to her running mates, White said a car suspiciously drove behind for a while, after which a man decked out in a pink attire got out of the car and began chasing her.
“I notice a car that was coming, I didn’t pay anthying to it. It stopped and instantly I turned around, I realised that the car stop-stop- and no stop-stop because there is a reason for it to stop, it stop-stop because I am the reason why it stop. Instantly, a man jump out in a pink attire and start running after me. Literally running after me. I started running and I started screaming and making bare noise and that is when he stopped, turned back the car, the car reversed he hopped in the car and it drove off. That is what ended my run,” she added.
White is urging fellow runners and those who exercise to be very vigilant of their surroundings when running or walking.
