With over 27,600 pounds of garbage collected and removed from the Kingston Harbour since 2014 through Petrojam’s ongoing beach clean-up initiative, the state-owned entity continued to display its commitment to health, safety, and the environment on this year’s celebration of International Coastal Clean-up Day.

For this important environmental initiative, Petrojam collaborated with the neighbouring Greenwich Town Fisherfolk Benevolent Society, a partnership which underscores their dedication to preserving the beauty of the natural surroundings while fostering unity to create a cleaner, greener future for all.

Volunteers from Petrojam and the neighbouring Greenwich Town fishing village came together for their quarterly beach clean-up, which coincided with the observance of International Coastal Clean-up Day on Saturday, September 16. Together, the team collected over 11,630 pounds of garbage from Kingston Harbour.
