The Pinnacle Luxury Residence has reached a historic milestone, with Tower 1 completing its 100‑metre superstructure to become the tallest building in Jamaica.
The achievement was marked with a Topping Out ceremony led by Prime Minister Dr Andrew Michael Holness, who commemorated the final concrete pour at the tower’s summit.
Now approximately 58% complete, Tower 1 signals the continued rise of the transformative US$450 million development and the arrival of Jamaica’s first branded residences. Developed by LCH Development Ltd. in partnership with global hospitality leader Accor/Ennismore, The Pinnacle introduces a new benchmark for Caribbean luxury living.
A Feat of Engineering
The construction of Tower 1 has been exceptional in scale and precision. Its foundation required more than 2,157 cubic metres of concrete, while over 20,000 tonnes of reinforcement steel were integrated into the structure—equivalent to nearly three Eiffel Towers. If laid end to end, the steel would stretch more than 300 kilometres, surpassing the distance between Kingston and Montego Bay.
As Jamaica’s tallest building, Tower 1 offers approximately 36 kilometres of horizon visibility on clear days, delivering panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea, Montego Bay’s coastline and the island’s mountain ranges. Masonry has now reached Level 16, with mechanical, electrical and plumbing installations completed to Level 15.

Residences Designed for Elevated Living
Rising 28 storeys, Tower 1 features 141 freehold residences ranging from intimate 91‑square‑metre sanctuaries to expansive 465‑square‑metre homes. Each residence includes 2.9‑metre ceilings, floor‑to‑ceiling Category 5 hurricane‑resistant glazing and generous private terraces measuring between 15.6 and 151.2 square metres.
A Curated Lifestyle Experience
Residents of The Pinnacle will enjoy world‑class amenities, including tennis and pickleball courts, a pool deck with cabanas and barbecue areas, sophisticated dining spaces and a mini marina with 15 slips reserved for penthouse owners. The Pinnacle Centre provides a thoughtfully designed community ecosystem, featuring a grocery, café, tapas lounge, juice bar, pharmacy, urgent care facility and retail shopping.
A New Chapter for Caribbean Luxury

“Achieving Topping Out on Tower 1 marks a transformative moment not only for The Pinnacle, but for Jamaica’s entire luxury landscape,” said Yangsen Li, CEO of LCH Development Ltd. “Standing as the nation’s tallest building, Tower 1 demonstrates our commitment to reshaping Caribbean living through exceptional design, engineering and hospitality.”
The Pinnacle integrates environmental responsibility into its core, incorporating solar energy, rainwater harvesting and lush living walls. Its strategic position on the Reading Peninsula offers both natural protection and extraordinary ocean views, with a maximum historical storm surge of 1.2 metres recorded at the site.
Looking Ahead

With the superstructure complete and full delivery targeted for 2027, The Pinnacle is poised to become the Caribbean’s most desirable residential address. Future phases will introduce two additional towers operated under world‑renowned Ennismore hospitality brands, enabling residents to access Accor’s extensive global membership network.
Sales are currently open for Tower 1’s freehold-titled residences, offering a rare opportunity to own within Jamaica’s first branded residential development and its tallest architectural landmark.
