Prime Minister Andrew Holness visited the constituency of east Kingston and Port Royal earlier this week, where he dropped in at a vaccination blitz organized by the Member of Parliament.

The PM and the Member of Parliament for the constituency, Phillip Paulwell used the occasion to encourage Jamaicans to take the vaccine, which they noted was a critical tool in the fight against COVID-19.

Holness shared details about his visit to Paulwell’s constituency on his social media pages.

“Recently, I visited the constituency of Kingston East and Port Royal represented by MP as we continue to empower citizens with the right information about the COVID-19 vaccines and its ability to prevent you from becoming seriously ill and possibly dying from the Covid-19 virus,” said Holness, who shared photos from the visit.

Holness, didn’t visit the east Kingston and Port Royal constituency just to talk vaccines, but also took along 40 tablets which he presented to the MP as part of efforts to bolster virtual learning.

It is understood that a significant portion of the tablets donated will go to the Windward Road Primary and Junior High School which was utilized as the vaccination site.
