The People’s National Party (PNP) expresses deep sorrow at the tragic death of Pastor Alexander Wurm, founder of Ignite the Fire Ministries based in the Cayman Islands, and his daughter Serena Wurm, who perished when their aircraft crashed in Coral Springs, Florida, while en route to Jamaica with hurricane relief supplies on Monday.
The PNP extends heartfelt condolences to their family, Christiana Wurm, and the entire Wurm family.
“We grieve with them and hold them in our thoughts and prayers during this time of unimaginable loss. We also express sincere gratitude to the Wurm family for their ongoing generosity and steadfast commitment to humanitarian outreach,” the PNP said in a release.
Reports indicate that Pastor Wurm and Serena had made several previous missions to Jamaica and the wider Caribbean, bringing relief and hope to communities in need.
Their selfless actions reflect the best of humanity and will forever be remembered with admiration and respect.
“As we mourn their passing, we honour their legacy, a father and daughter united in faith and purpose, who gave of themselves to uplift others. Jamaica and the entire Caribbean region are grateful for their lives of service and compassion,” the PNP added.
