Red Stripe Flavours has reaffirmed its commitment to the advancement of women’s sport in Jamaica, renewing its title sponsorship of the Netball Jamaica Elite League for a second consecutive year.

The announcement was made during the official media launch held last Friday (June 20) at the Jamaica Olympic Association (JOA) headquarters.

The 2025 season of the Elite League will take place from June 27 to July 27, featuring five teams, 14 matches, and 56 of the island’s top players.

Matches will be held on Fridays and Sundays at the National Stadium complex.

Positioned as Jamaica’s premier domestic netball competition, the league continues to shine a spotlight on female athleticism, talent development and community engagement.

“This marks our second year as title sponsor of the league, and that in itself is a strong reminder of our ongoing commitment to uplifting Jamaican culture through sport,” said Arnaldo Martin, brand manager for Red Stripe Flavours. “Netball is Jamaica’s number one (female) sport. It’s more than a game—it’s a reflection of who we are as a people.”

Martin added that Red Stripe’s approach to sport sponsorship is not performative, but purpose-driven. “This league is more than competition—it’s a platform for empowerment, discipline, and excellence. We’re proud to support Netball Jamaica in building a space that creates real opportunities for women in sport.”

The 2025 season will also see several new activations introduced throughout the tournament, aimed at creating a more engaging matchday experience for fans. From curated giveaways to interactive fan zones and increased athlete storytelling, Red Stripe Flavours is expected to help elevate the energy of the league both on and off the court.

Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Sport, Dezel Thorpe, delivered remarks on behalf of Minister Olivia Grange, highlighting the significance of public-private collaboration in advancing women’s sport.

“This partnership exemplifies the kind of nation-building we strive for. When brands step forward to support our female athletes, they are not only investing in sport, but they are also investing in opportunity, empowerment, and the future of Jamaica,” said Thorpe. “We commend Netball Jamaica and all its partners for continuing to raise the bar in excellence and execution.”
