Following leaked reports that Meghan Markle, the wife of Britain’s Prince Harry, bullied staff members, representatives of the mother-of-two have come forward to deny the claims.

The report detailed that the former Suits actress, while working as a Royal, bullied two employees. Now under investigation, it has been said that findings of the report “will be kept under wraps to protect the privacy of those who took part and to limit tensions between the Sussexes and the palace”.

Prince Harry and Markle are the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

According to a publication released by the Human Resource Department, the allegations have prompted Buckingham Palace to improve on the policies and procedures in its human resources department.

The publication further noted that individuals involved in the inquiry are not pleased that it is being “buried”.

Reports are that these investigations began prior to the Duke and Duchess’ infamous interview with Oprah Winfrey, where Markle claimed she was mistreated by members of The Royal Family.

Representatives of the couple, who in January of this year announced their decision to step back as senior members of the British royal family, said the allegations were likely timed to undermine their Oprah interview.

“Let’s just call this what it is… a calculated smear campaign based on misleading and harmful misinformation. We are disappointed to see this defamatory portrayal of The Duchess of Sussex given credibility by a media outlet,” the couple’s spokesperson told The Times.

It was added that Markle is “saddened by this latest attack on her character, particularly as someone who has been the target of bullying herself”.

Supporters of Markle have since fired back at Buckingham Palace.
