Restaurants of Jamaica (ROJ), owner of the local KFC and Pizza Hut franchises, has reaffirmed its commitment to youth development by announcing a $15-million sponsorship of the upcoming season of the ISSA Schoolboy Football League.

ROJ has a longstanding tradition of supporting youth development across various sports disciplines, including basketball, track and field, and football, and has actively contributed to a range of sporting initiatives, including the Racers’ Grand Prix, Jamaica Basketball Association (JaBA) Star Search Basketball & Life Skills Camp, and the Jump Ball Basketball Camp.

Andrei Roper, ROJ brand manager said: “We are extremely excited to be back on board for what is sure to be another spectacular season of ISSA Schoolboy Football and we look forward to another season filled with drama, passion, and unforgettable moments on the football pitch.”

We are always eager to create opportunities for our athletic youths to develop, grow, and learn valuable traits that will benefit them both on and off the field and we look forward to seeing our players thrive – moving on from Schoolboy Football to even higher heights, possibly playing at the club level or even the national or international level,” he continued

The quick-service franchisee firmly believes that sports offer a myriad of opportunities for young individuals to gain wisdom, evolve, and achieve their fullest potential.

“We encourage supporters of all the participating schools and fans of football in general to come out and enjoy this upcoming Schoolboy Football season. In addition to ensuring that the best in schoolboy football action is on display, KFC Jamaica looks forward to creating memorable and enjoyable experiences for fans through marketing activations at the matches, through a top-quality television broadcast of the games, as well as through the KFC Jamaica social media platforms,” added Roper.
