Charlotte Hornets rookie Kon Knueppel has set a new NBA record, becoming the fastest player to hit 100 three pointers in just 29 games during a 139-132 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The 20 year old, the fourth pick in the 2025 draft, reached the milestone with a first-quarter shot at Rocket Arena, breaking Lauri Markkanen’s previous record of 41 games set with the Chicago Bulls in 2017-18.
Knueppel finished the game with 20 points, making five of nine from beyond the arc, while LaMelo Ball added 23 and Brandon Miller scored 20. For the Cavaliers, Donovan Mitchell led the way with 30 points, with DeAndre Hunter and Darius Garland each scoring 27, the latter also recording 10 assists. Cleveland sits seventh in the Eastern Conference, while Charlotte remains in 12th.
