But Racing United woke up in the second half as goals by Tajay Grant (58th), Nickyle Ellis (79th) and Damorney Hutchinson (86th) rallied for an exciting 3-3 heading into the second leg on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, champions Cavalier FC recovered from a two-goal deficit to draw 2-2 with Waterhouse FC and set the stage for an epic second leg.
Neron Barrow gave Waterhouse a third-minute lead before Denardo Thomas doubled their advantage in the seventh minute. Daryl Massicot pulled one back for Cavalier in the 36th minute before Kimarly Scott pulled them level in the 64th minute.
The winners of both ties will meet Mount Pleasant and Montego Bay United in the semi-finals.
