Actress Roseanne Barr and Tom MacDonald have made headlines after their pro-Donald Trump rap song, Daddy’s Home gained traction on YouTube Music.

The track has ignited discussions due to its politically charged lyrics and controversial takes.

The music video shows Barr in a bold persona, wearing blonde braids, leopard print, and oversized sunglasses while rapping lyrics that reference her past controversies and support for Trump. In the song, she repeatedly uses a derogatory slur and questions cultural changes, including the lyrics: “Why are they trying to turn Becky into Dan?” or “Screw Eminem, b*tch, I’m Roseanne.”

Barr, who has been vocal about her support for Trump, uses the track to address her past cancellations, including her removal from the Roseanne reboot in 2018 following a tweet widely condemned as racist. A lyric referencing her previous backlash suggests she is “getting the last laugh” following Trump’s presidential election win.

We won, you mad
It’s done, too bad
Boo-hoo, so sad
Now your daddy’s home
We won, you mad
You cry, we laugh
We wave, the flag
Now your Daddy’s home

Chorus, ‘Daddy’s Home’ by Tom MacDonald & Roseanne Barr

The video features pro-Trump imagery, including flags and statements celebrating Trump’s victory. Barr’s controversial involvement on the record has supporters praising her continued defiance of cancel culture and steadfast support of President-elect Donald Trump.

“I’m going to have this on repeat!” one fan wrote in the comment section. “I love you forever Tom MacDonald for creating this masterpiece with Rosanne I love you, Rosanne! You raised me through the TV and you got your day! Bravo!”

The song’s rapid rise on YouTube Music sees it at 710,581 views in less than 24 hours since its release.
