Guinness Sounds of Greatness semi-finals off to a flyer

DJ Jah Jah Blacks of Sweet Love Sound emerged, as the winner of the first semi-finals of the 2023 Guinness Sounds of Greatness (GSOG) competition at Margaritaville Ocho Rios, St. Ann last Friday June 9, 2023.

With J$1.5 million in cash and prizes on the line, four sounds stepped up to the plate knowing only one would advance to the finals. After an eventful clash among DJ Dynamo Sound, YM Entertainment, DJ Fire Blanks and DJ Jah Blacks of Sweet Love Sound, it was time for a winner to emerge.

In the end, it was DJ Jah Blacks, who proved to have what it takes to be the GSOG Nex Gen Champion for 2023. He will now advance to the finals. 

Hosted by DJ Badda Bling and GSOG Nex Gen Ambassador, Fabian ‘Fyahman’ Morris, semi-final 1 was one for the history books, as scores of dancehall lovers flocked to the venue for an unforgettable experience. 

If that was not enough, there was a high-energy performance by Dancehall superstar Jah Vincii to close out the show.
